Suhas Pagolu Biography

Suhas Pagolu is an Indian actor and producer from Vijayawada who has built a career in Telugu film and digital projects. Rising from short films and YouTub

Early life and background
Suhas Pagolu was born on 19 August 1990 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Raised in a family where his father worked as a police officer and his mother was a homemaker, he completed a B.Sc. in Computer Science at Kakarparthi Bhavanarayana College in Vijayawada. From a young age he was drawn to performance: he competed in school dance contests, took part in college youth fests and skits, and nurtured ambitions in choreography and stagecraft.

After finishing his studies he moved to Hyderabad in 2013 to pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry. Early encouragement from Teja Kakumanu and involvement with a dramatics club helped shift his focus from dance toward acting. While facing typical struggles in a new city, Suhas began producing short films and other video content, supported financially and morally by friends who believed in his potential.

Career
Suhas’s first feature-film acting credit listed is Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016). Much of his early screen work came through collaborations with the Chai Bisket YouTube channel, where he took part in more than 50 short films and sketches. Notable short-film titles include Radhika Nandan – A Psycho Thriller (2016), Bangaram (2016), Nenorakam (2016), The Athidhi (2017) and Kalakaarudu (2017). He also appeared in a 2017 YouTube mini-series titled Nenu Mee Kalyan.

On the film side, Suhas began getting wider recognition after a supporting turn as Jonty in Majili (2019), a performance that led people to refer to him by the film’s name. He earned strong notice for taking the lead in the period romance Colour Photo (2020), a project that won the National Award for Best Telugu Film at the 68th National Film Awards and brought him critical appreciation. His film credits also include Padi Padi Leche Manasu (2018), Dear Comrade (2019), Family Drama (2021), HIT: The Second Case (2022) and Mishan Impossible (2022).

Suhas expanded into streaming and production work as well. He acted in the Aha Originals series Shit Happens (2020) and later worked on Anger Tales (2023) for Disney+ Hotstar, serving as both producer and actor on that web series. In 2023 he appeared in Writer Padma Bhushan as the character P. Padmabhushan.

Accolades
In September 2023 Suhas received the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) Best Actor in a Negative Role (Telugu) award for his work in HIT: The Second Case. This formal recognition added to the momentum of his transition from supporting comedy and friend roles into more substantial and varied parts.

Public profile
Suhas is known for his versatility across supporting comedic parts and lead roles. He has spoken about being inspired by older performers and counts veteran actor Kota Srinivasa Rao among the artists he admires. Alongside his acting, Suhas maintains an interest in photography; he owns a Sony A7R3 with a 200–600 mm lens. Personal details that figure in his public profile include his marriage to Naga Lalitha on 26 August 2017 and the nickname Ammuu.

Latest updates
Recent credits include his producing and acting role on the 2023 web series Anger Tales and his appearance in the 2023 film Writer Padma Bhushan. His SIIMA award in 2023 for HIT: The Second Case is among his most recent industry recognitions.

Suhas’s path from stage and short-format video to feature films and streaming projects highlights a career built through steady creative effort, collaborations with digital platforms, and a willingness to take on varied roles.
