Swati Khandelwal Jain was born on 13 April in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. She grew up in Bareilly and completed her school education at St Maria Goretti Inter College, where she was active in extracurricular activities and served as House Captain. Her academic path combined science and journalism: she earned a Bachelor of Science with honours in Physics from Gargi College, Delhi University, and went on to complete a PG Diploma in Journalism (Film & TV Studies) at Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan. She later obtained a master’s degree in journalism from Sikkim Manipal University and an MBA in Human Resources from Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Pune.
