Taher Shabbir Mithaiwala was born on 7 January 1987 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He grew up in the city that remains his hometown and later graduated from K.C. College in Mumbai. Taher comes from a family involved in business and healthcare: his father, Shabbir Mithaiwala, runs a sweet shop called Tawakkal Sweets in Bhendi Bazaar, while his mother, Sabiha Mithaiwala, is a doctor. He also has a younger brother, Moayyad Mithaiwala, who is in business.
