Early life and background

Tannaz Davoodi was born on 27 June 1997 in Tehran, Iran. Raised in the city she calls home, Davoodi is of Persian ethnicity and holds Iranian nationality. She completed part of her formal education in the Netherlands at Landstede MBO – Mooi & Mode in Zwolle, and later moved to London in 2017.

Career

Davoodi works as both an actress and a dancer, building a career largely in background and supporting dance roles across Hindi and regional films, music videos, and live concerts. She has performed as a background dancer in a number of Bollywood productions, including appearances in Jawaani Jaaneman (2020) and The Girl on the Train (2021). Her dance credits also include the song "Garmi" from Street Dancer 3D (2020) and the 2021 song "Munde Mar Gaye" from Time to Dance.

In 2019 she appeared on screen as a friend of the character Janvi in the film Pagalpanti. That same year she was featured in the music video for the Hindi song "Zindagi," performing alongside Adnan Khan.

Davoodi has worked outside of mainstream Bollywood as well. She danced alongside Sunny Leone in the Nepali film Password (the song "Aajako Sam") in 2021.
