Early life and background

Shruthi Ram, professionally known as Tanvi Ram, was born on 16 June 1995 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Raised in a family headed by her father Ramachandran, a businessman, and her mother Jayashree Ram, a homemaker, she grew up alongside a brother, Sangeeth Ram. Her hometown is Kannur, Kerala.

Before entering films, Tanvi worked as a banking professional for seven years. She also competed in pageants early in her public life and was reportedly a Miss Kerala 2012 finalist.

Career

Tanvi made her feature film debut in the Malayalam movie Ambili (2019), playing the character Teena Kurain. Prior to and after that debut she pursued on-camera training, including a two-week workshop she undertook to become comfortable facing the camera.

Following Ambili, Tanvi appeared in a string of Malayalam films and broadened her work to include Telugu cinema. Her Telugu debut came with Ante Sundaraniki (2022), in which she played Pushpa Thomas.
