Early life and backgroundTeja Sajja was born on 23 August 1994 in Hyderabad (then Andhra Pradesh, now Telangana). Raised in the city he still calls home, he attended The Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet and later studied at Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology, completing a BBA. He comes from a family connected to Divi’s Laboratories: his father, Ramakrishna Sajja, worked there and his elder brother, Krishna Kireeti Sajja, has worked in logistics for the company.
Career
Teja’s on-screen career began as a child actor. He appeared in a string of popular Telugu films in the early 2000s, including roles in titles such as Kalisundam Raa, Yuvaraju, Indra, Tagore, Gangotri, Vasantam, Samba, Balu: ABCDEFG and Chatrapathi. His first credited film appearance was in Choodalani Vundi (1998) as the son of a character named Rama Krishna.
After growing up in the industry, Teja returned to feature films in adult roles. He was part of Oh! Baby (2019) in a credited role and stepped into leading-man territory with the action-comedy Zombie Reddy (2021), where he played Marripalem ‘Mario’ Obul Reddy. The same year he appeared as Surya in the sci-fi romance Adbhutham, released on the streaming service Hotstar.
