Varun Badola was born on 7 January 1974 in New Delhi. He grew up in Delhi, attended Sardar Patel Vidyalaya and Bharti Vidya Bhavan, and completed his college education at Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo Vedic College in Delhi. His father is Vishwa Mohan Badola and his mother is Susheela Badola. He has two sisters, Alka Kaushal and Kalindi Badola. Varun began his screen career in the mid-1990s. His television debut came in 1994 with the Zee TV serial Banegi Apni Baat, in which he played the character Ayushman. Alongside television work, Varun moved into films. His film debut was Haasil (2003), where he played the role of Javed. He has since appeared in movies such as Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh (2005), Jai Ho (2014), Azhar (2016), and Fraud Saiyaan (2019). Beyond acting, he has experience behind the camera: after graduating he worked in his sister’s production house as a costume coordinator and later spent several years assisting director Tigmanshu Dhulia.
