Victorien Mulliez was born on 21 September 1989 in France. From a young age he showed curiosity about composing and mixing music and learning various instruments. As he moved through college he began performing solo, singing and playing instruments at events and gatherings.

While still young, Victorien met Florent Denecker at a mutual friend’s birthday party. The two formed a musical partnership at 19, creating the duo FDVM from the initials of their names.
