Vighnesh Pande Biography

Vighnesh Pande is an Indian ventriloquist, comedian, anchor and actor from Mumbai who rose to national attention through televised comedy competitions. He

Early life and background

Vighnesh Pande was born on 18 March 1997 in Mumbai, where he continues to be based. He grew up around performance: his father, Deepak Pande, works as a magician, ventriloquist and mind reader, and exposure to his father’s shows sparked Vighnesh’s interest in puppetry and comedy at a young age. He attended Chetana Junior College in Mumbai and completed studies in mass communication and media, earning a Bachelor of Mass Media degree with a focus on advertising.

Career

Vighnesh began practicing ventriloquism in 2010 and gave his first stage ventriloquism performance in 2012 at age 15. He expanded his repertoire to include stand-up comedy, hosting and acting, and by his late teens was performing across Mumbai and other Indian cities.

He first reached television audiences in 2017 as a contestant on a ventriloquist category of a national comedy series on StarPlus. That year he advanced to the finals of the show and finished as the second runner-up. Since then he has appeared repeatedly on Indian television as comic support, host and performer: he worked as comic relief on dance and variety shows, co-hosted a talent programme on Zee TV, and served as host of another Zee TV series in 2021.

Vighnesh’s television competition experience continued in 2022 when he became a finalist on a Sony TV comedy programme; the finale took place on 27 August 2022. Alongside television, he has performed live across many Indian cities, including Surat, Calicut, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Goa, Bangalore, Orissa and Kolkata.

Creative projects and business

In January 2013 Vighnesh established WireBox Production. Through the company he wrote and directed the short film "Mumbai: The Golden Egg," which won three inter‑collegiate awards in 2013. He has also written and performed in advertising and short commercial work, earning recognition in student and competition settings for ad composition and production.

Brand collaborations and other work

In 2020 Vighnesh was chosen as a brand ambassador by IndusInd Bank; that association lasted nine months through July 2021. He has repeatedly been engaged in television shows in comic and hosting capacities, including short-term comic support roles on reality and dance programmes in 2018 and 2019.

Artistry and performance style

Vighnesh performs regularly with a puppet character named Anna. He developed the female persona to give voice to social topics and to create a distinct onstage dynamic; the character became popular through live shows and online videos. His family includes other performers: his brother, Dharmesh Pande, works as a magician, ventriloquist, musician and anchor, and his sister, Neha Pawar Bane, is an education professional.

Public profile

Vighnesh is noted for combining ventriloquism with stand-up and hosting, and for bringing a character-driven element to contemporary Indian comedy. He has repeatedly been featured on televised talent and comedy series and maintains a presence on the live circuit.

Latest updates

Recent highlights include reaching the finale of a national comedy show on Sony TV in 2022 and hosting a Zee TV programme in 2021. He continues to perform live across India and to produce work through his production venture.
