Early life and background
Vineeta Singh was born in 1983 in Anand, Gujarat, and grew up with roots in Delhi. She attended Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram, before studying electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. After graduating with a B.Tech, she completed an MBA at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Career
Singh began her professional journey with roles that included a directorship at Quetzal Online Private Limited in Mumbai, where she worked for over five years. She later moved into the beauty and consumer space, launching a beauty-subscription business called FabBag. Building on insights from that venture, she and her husband and co-founder Kaushik Mukherjee launched SUGAR Cosmetics in 2015 as a direct-to-consumer makeup brand.
