Early life and background

Vinod Pradhan Bhanushali was born on 15 January 1973 in Mumbai, where he was also raised. He completed his schooling at Smt. M D Bhatia English Medium High School up to tenth standard and went on to earn a B.Com degree from K. J. Somaiya College of Science & Commerce, University of Mumbai. He has also been associated with Yamazaki Gakuen University in Japan. Vinod is a member of the Vaishya community and lists Mumbai as his hometown.

Career

Vinod began his working life in Mumbai as a clearing and forwarding agent at the customs. Early in his career he worked with Sahara Movie Studios, where his efforts came to the attention of Gulshan Kumar, founder of Super Cassettes (T-Series). In November 1994 he joined T-Series and undertook a variety of production and logistics tasks: scheduling shoots, coordinating with directors and musicians, and handling other on-ground requirements for films and music videos.

By the late 1990s Vinod moved into marketing at T-Series. His responsibilities included promoting the company’s music on television channels and broader content and media initiatives. Over nearly three decades with the company he advanced through the organisation and eventually served as president of global marketing, media, publishing and content acquisition.

After 27 years at T-Series, Vinod resigned in August 2021 and established his own ventures. He founded Bhanushali Studios Limited in 2021 and launched a music label, Hitz Music, in 2022. He has also held director and designated partner roles in a number of companies, including Aum Advertising And Media Private Limited, Big Umbrella Licensing & Distribution LLP, Hifi Digi Advertising Solutions LLP, and Body Corporate DP Nominee.

Vinod’s production credits include involvement with several Bollywood films. Titles associated with him include Airlift (2016), Kabir Singh (2019), Batla House (2019), Thappad (2020), Haseen Dillruba (2021), Janhit Mein Jaari (2022), and Main Atal Hoon (listed for release in December 2023). He was a producer on the film Sab Moh Maaya Hai (2022).
