Vishnu Vijay was born on 17 September 1988 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He grew up in Chennai and went on to study at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, where he completed an M.Sc. in Electronic Media. He is Indian by nationality and his zodiac sign is Virgo.

Career

Vishnu began his screen career on television. One of his early and notable TV roles was Ashokan "Ashok" in Kana Kaanum Kaalangal Kallooriyin Kadhai (2011) on Star Vijay. He later became widely recognised for playing the character Vishnuvardhan in the serial Office (2013), a role that helped raise his profile in the Tamil television industry.

He made his feature film debut in the Tamil action film Mapla Singam (2016), credited as Sathish in that project. The following year he took the lead in the comedy Ivan Yarendru Therikiratha (2017). In 2018 Vishnu explored darker territory with a negative role in Kalari. Alongside his film work, he continued a steady television career: in 2019 he played the lead role of Prabhu in the Zee Tamil serial Sathya, and in 2022 he appeared as Arjun in Idhu Solla Marandha Kadhai on Colors Tamil.

Vishnu has also made numerous special appearances on television across Zee Tamil shows such as Oru Oorla Oru Rajakumari, Raja Magal and Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal.
