Early life and background

Vivian Dsena was born on 28 June 1988 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He grew up in Ujjain and spent part of his schooling in Mumbai at Lokmanya Tilak High School. Sports were an important part of his childhood: his father played football and his mother was an athlete for the Indian Railways, and Vivian developed a strong interest in football from the age of ten. He also attended a military school for two years, where he learned several sports including horse riding. Academically he completed Class 12 and even cleared the state-level engineering entrance exam in Madhya Pradesh before his path shifted toward modelling.

Career

Vivian began his public career by entering the 2007 Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest, finishing among the top 10 finalists. He moved into television with his debut role as Vicky Jai Walia in Kasamh Se (2008). Wider recognition followed when he portrayed the vampire Abhay Raichand in Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani (2010), a series that brought him to a larger audience.

He went on to play multiple, well-received characters in the Colors TV drama Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, appearing as Rishabh Kundra, Keval Ram Khushwaha and Raja Khushwaha between 2012 and 2014. That body of work earned him several industry awards, including recognitions at the Indian Television Academy Awards, Indian Telly Awards, Gold Awards and the Asian Viewers Television Awards for performances in Madhubala and later projects.

Beyond serial drama, Vivian has taken part in reality television. He competed in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 in 2015 and finished in 10th place. In 2016 he appeared on Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, securing a fifth-place finish.
