Early life and background
Yashasvi Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal was born on 28 December 2001 in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. His family later moved to Mumbai, and he grew up in the Dadar area. His parents are Bhupendra Jaiswal, who ran a small hardware store, and Kanchan Jaiswal. From an early age Jaiswal showed a deep commitment to cricket and left home as a child to pursue sporting opportunities in Mumbai.

In Mumbai he lived through a difficult period before being taken under the wing of coach Jwala Singh. Singh offered him a place to stay and daily training after spotting him batting strongly in practice nets at Azad Maidan.
