Early life and background

Rupinderjit Singh, known professionally as Zebby Singh, hails from Chandigarh, India. He is of Punjabi ethnicity and developed an interest in acting at a young age. During his college years he trained at the Chandigarh School of Drama and performed in a variety of plays, which helped shape his early performing experience.

Career

Zebby began his career in the public eye as a model. In 2014 he took part in the Elite Model Look India contest and the following year he was a finalist in the Mr. India pageant. Those appearances opened doors in fashion: he modelled for brands including Wills Lifestyle and walked runways for designers such as Kunal Seith and Sumit Das Gupta. He has participated in fashion shows and events like INIFD, DSOI, North India’s Top Models Fashion Show and Delhi Times Fashion Week, and has featured in television commercials for products like Oxy Men Face Wash and MRF Nylogrip Ezeeride.

Transitioning to on-screen roles, Zebby made his film debut in 2018 with a supporting part as the cousin brother of Taapsee Pannu in the Bollywood film Manmarziyaan. That same year he also appeared on television; he is best known for portraying Yuvaan Chopra in the TV series Papa By Chance, a role that significantly raised his profile.

In pursuit of professional challenges he has accepted physically demanding work: for an episode of Papa By Chance he undertook a strict fitness and diet regimen and lost 18 kilograms to meet the requirements of a shirtless scene. He maintains a disciplined workout routine and is outspoken about the role fitness plays in his life.

Public profile

Zebby is identified with a tall, athletic presence—listed at approximately 191 cm (6'3")—with brown eyes and black hair. His public tastes include Tundey Kebabs as a preferred food, actors Vicky Kaushal and Leonardo DiCaprio among his favourites, singer Gurdas Maan, and director Anurag Kashyap. He also has an affinity for traditional attire such as kurta pajama and prefers the colour blue.

Personal life

Born and raised in Chandigarh, Zebby is Indian by nationality and remains unmarried. His father is named Kuldeep Singh Aul; his mother’s name has not been publicly listed. He enjoys travelling, reading and adventure sports. He is fond of dogs and owns a French bulldog named Rolex. The publicly available profile notes that he consumes alcohol.

Latest updates

Zebby has been linked with various television opportunities beyond Papa By Chance. He was reportedly considered for the negative lead in the Star Plus series Yeh Hai Chahatein and was signed for a role in Star Bharat’s Muskaan, though those parts ultimately went to other actors. His career continues to bridge modelling and acting work, and he remains active in fitness-oriented and promotional work.
