Samsung’s Galaxy Buds lineup has changed a lot over the years, with the last generation having ditched a long-time charging case design in favor of copying AirPods, but it seems Galaxy Buds 4 are taking a step back.
We’ve known a lot about the Galaxy Buds 4 series for a while now, with leaks dating back for the better part of a year. Gone is the triangular design of the Galaxy Buds 3 series, replaced with a new brushed metal look. Also changing, though, is the case design.
In November, images from Samsung’s software showed that Galaxy Buds 4 would go back to a squarish case, similar to prior generations. Official-looking renders now back that up, while more clearly showing the updated design language too. The case has a clear lid and the brushed metal look of the Galaxy Buds 4 look really nice. The AirPods-like design with stems is very clearly sticking around too, whether you actually liked it or not – personally, I did.
Samsung also seems to be sticking with the same formula inspired by Apple, with one set of earbuds that have an open(ish) design, and another with silicone tips for a better seal.
Notably, another recent leak suggested that Samsung will bundle a magnetic charger with these new earbuds in some regions, hinting that the case might include magnetic alignment (similar to AirPods).

The images were shared by Android Headlines (with no obvious signs of AI, since we have to check for that now).
Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro soon, probably alongside the Galaxy S26 series later this month.
