Powerful specs
This PC isn’t playing around
The updated OmniStudio X features an impressive spec list:
Display
27″ QHD (2560×1440) Neo:LED
120 Hz
Anti-glare
Processor
Intel next-gen processors
Graphics
Optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050
Storage
16 or 32 GB
Memory
512GB, 1TB, or 2TB in NVMe or Gen5 NVMe
Ports
2 Thunderbolt 4 (40Gbps)
3 USB Type-A (10Gbps)
1 USB 2.0 Type-A
1 HDMI 2.0
1 headphone/micophone combo
1 RJ-45 Ethernet
These specs — especially with the RTX 5050 — should provide a powerful platform for photo editing apps like Darktable, and the video card is even a solid gaming option. You’ll likely want to stick to 1080p resolution for the games with this card, but it could work for turning your PC into an all-in-one gaming console.
The star of the show, however, is the display. Seriously, this thing is gorgeous. The thin, symmetrical bezels — a rarity on all-in-ones — make for an immersive experience. The sleek, height-adjustable stand is a nice touch, and the integrated cable management is perfect for anyone looking to clean up their cables.

The main bottleneck, as with most all-in-ones, is the graphics card. The form factor can cause space and heat issues that put the most powerful graphics cards out of reach. Price is also a possible consideration here. However, if you can get by with the RTX 5050 (or even the integrated Intel graphics), this is a powerhouse of a PC.
Other updated HP PCs
HP’s updated lineup looks great
Along with the OmniStudio X, HP is announcing updates across most of its Omni line:
- OmniBook 3 Series (entry-level, available in 14″, 16″, and 17.3″)
- OmniBook 5 Series (mid-range, available in 14″ and 16″, plus a 14″ Flip model)
- OmniBook 7 Series (high-end, available in 14″ and 16″)
- OmniBook X Series (premium, available in 14″, 16″, and 17.3″, plus 14″ and 16″ Flip models)
- OmniBook Ultra 14 (ultra-premium)
- The “regular” OmniStudio (a lower-end all-in-one, available in 23.8″ and 27″)
- Several Chromebook models (including the Chromebook 14, Chromebook Plus 14, and the x360 variants)
As with everything these days, the PCs are marketed as “Next Gen AI PCs.” However, the hardware is what stands out to us. These are sleek devices with solid specs across the board.
Pricing and availability varies form model to model, but most should be available by spring. The OmniStudio X 27 is expected to be available for pre-order this week, with a starting price of $1,499.99.
