The Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 is reportedly shaping up to be a very different kind of upgrade. New details shared on a forum point to a MicroLED display, satellite messaging, deeper water resistance and a jump into a much higher price bracket.
Shortly after our own teardown confirmed the existence of the T-Rex Ultra 2 inside the Zepp Health app, some info has surfaced on the 4pda forum. The forum posts mentioning this info did not accompany a published citation, so it’s important to acknowledge that this is unverified and based on what appears to be community shared leaks. If accurate, the info expands on what this next Ultra model could bring and hints at Zepp Health aiming at the premium rugged segment dominated by Garmin.
A brighter screen and stronger shell
The leaked info points to a 1.5-inch MicroLED screen on the T-Rex Ultra 2, offering more than 3000 nits of peak brightness with sapphire crystal protection. That would exceed the current T-Rex 3 Pro’s AMOLED and put right up there with Garmin’s, rather pricey, MicroLED-equipped Fenix 8 Pro in terms of display tech.
There is also mention of full titanium TC4 construction. The current T-Rex 3 Pro uses Grade 5 titanium only in parts of its body. Going full titanium suggests a stronger, more rugged shell. The info here is conflicting. Another post mentions that their source point to Grade 5 titanium on Ultra 2.
Beyond that there’s a mention of a 316L stainless steel body and a modified “mud proof” button design.
Enhanced water resistance and satellite messaging
As far as water-resistance, the Ultra 2 will have a 10 ATM rating coupled with a 100-meter submersion certificate and advanced diving capabilities (EN13319 certificate). This would significantly up water resistance compared to the T-Rex 3 Pro. The watch will also, reportedly, pack an improved generation of the BioTracker sensor.
Another change is the addition of satellite messaging plus an SOS function. Again this comes from the same uncredited sources. If accurate, it would align with a broader trend of adding off-grid safety functions to premium smartwatches, something Apple, Garmin and a few others have already pursued in recent years.
Bigger battery, higher price
Battery life of the 700 mAh is listed in the leak as 30 to 35 days in typical use. That’s above the roughly 25-day figure for the T-Rex 3 Pro.
Interestingly, rather unexpectedly, the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro MicroLED did not turn out to be a powerhouse when it comes to battery life. Zepp Health may have found a better way to utilise the MicroLED tech.
The leaked pricing range from $449 to $549 also stands out. That is notably higher than the current T-Rex 3 Pro. But, on the other hand, it is also half the price of what you have to pay for a MicroLED Garmin.

What could be next
A launch in the first quarter of 2026 is looking more and more likely. Late February or early March around Mobile World Congress seems like a plausible window given how leaks often precede formal announcements. Whether the new info reflects reality or not will become clear only when Zepp Health makes an official reveal.
For now the key takeaways are a possible shift to a brighter MicroLED screen, a tougher titanium body, enhanced water resistance, satellite tools and higher pricing.
