Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 1:15, fourth quarter
Handoff to Walker, and he goes backwards. They’re not likely to get a first down here.
Seattle runs the game clock down to three seconds and calls timeout. Third and 7.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 2:00, fourth quarter
Walker inexplicably gets six yards despite having no room to run. He only has 65 yards, but the fight he has shown for each one is stunning.
Two-minute warning. Another first down will end it. Even if they don’t get it, they’ll be punting to put the Rams deep in their own half with well under a minute left and no timeouts.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 2:12, fourth quarter
Walker fights for a couple of yards. The clock will run but won’t get to the two-minute warning just yet. Seattle will have to run another play.
Seattle surprises everyone with a play-action call. It’s a quirky play, and Darnold doesn’t seem to be in any position to throw, but Durant had his hands all over Kupp. Defensive holding. First down. This is almost over.

You know who we haven’t heard from in a while? Jaxon Smith-Njigba … hey, there he is! Great route-running, and Darnold’s throw is on target. First down, and JSN stays in bounds. The clock will run.
No, wait, it’ll stop. The officials now say he stepped out of bounds.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 3:05, fourth quarter
Walker is stopped by about 35 Rams defenders.
The Rams use their last timeout.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 3:11, fourth quarter
The Rams have 435 yards. They’ve only punted twice. As great as Seattle’s defense has been this year, the Seahawks simply can’t hand the ball back to the Rams here.
Kupp makes the catch, and it’s … a first down? Barely. The ball popped free soon after he hit the ground, but he was down.
The Rams called timeout, and Sean McVay has the challenge flag out. The question is whether Kupp got the first down. If he was short, he was short by inches.
McVay decides not to challenge.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 3:20, fourth quarter
Darnold has Shaheed wide open but throws too softly, and the play is broken up – with a shove to the back before the ball arrives, which draws some reaction from the home crowd. No pass interference? Was it catchable?
Timeout Seattle. Third and 8 on their own 28.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 3:26, fourth quarter
Walker gets it again but just gets a couple of yards. The Rams use their first timeout.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 3:35, fourth quarter
Walker plows into the middle for four yards.
Darnold throws to Walker out in the flat, and he beats three defenders to pick up 15 yards and the first down. Tick tick tick tick …

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 4:54, fourth quarter
Incomplete! Two straight passes defended by Devon Witherspoon. Seattle will take over on downs. A long drive wins the game, even if it stops short of the end zone.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 5:06, fourth quarter
Stafford again has to read through several options, and he’s unable to make the completion. Fourth down.
The ball game might be decided on this next play.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 5:45, fourth quarter
To Nacua over the middle, six yards. Second and 4 on the 6.
Williams is stopped for no gain.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 6:30, fourth quarter
Another Rams play completely falls apart, but Stafford simply looks to the other side of the field and laterals to Nacua, who is strangely open and runs for the first down.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 7:27, fourth quarter
On fourth and 1, Stafford drops back, but the Seahawks pass rush gets to him …
… and somehow lets the venerable QB storm ahead for the first down.
Seattle jumps offside on the next play. This is self-destruction by Seattle.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 8:16, fourth quarter
Stafford again looks deep – but then he tosses a quick pass up the middle to Parkinson, and the big tight end rumbles for 16 yards.
Corum catches a short pass for two yards. Second and 8.
Another short pass to Corum, and the Seahawks tackle well in open space. Third and 1 on the Seattle 26.
Stafford finds Parkinson wide open with the end zone at his mercy … and he drops it! That probably would’ve put the Rams in the lead.
Fourth down, and they’ll go.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 10:21, fourth quarter
Now it’s Williams taking a pass a few yards short of the down marker. He shakes his way past one defender and drags another a few yards for another first down.
Stafford was leveled as he threw, but he gets a minute to recover as a Seattle player gets attention from the trainers.
Then Stafford aims for a 51-yard TD pass, but it’s closer to being intercepted than caught.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 11:39, fourth quarter
Blake Corum continues his solid day with a run of 10-plus for a first down. Then Corum catches a short pass from Stafford and threads his way through the secondary for a gain of 15.

Darnold changes the play before the snap. It must have worked, because he had acres of space in which to run for a first down.
No such luck on the next play, as safety Kamren Kinchens streaks untouched through a hole in the line for a 9-yard sack. Darnold connects with Kupp for four.
Jared Verse is similarly unhindered on the next play, but he forgot to wait for the play to start. That’ll be a five-yard penalty.
Darnold tries to get it to Shaheed, but Durant races up to punch the ball away.
Punt, and Xavier Smith does not return after his bobble on the last one. Kyren Williams fields it cleanly.
The Rams can take the lead on this drive. Inconceivable.

Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 0:25, third quarter
Seattle tries to free Shaheed with an end-around run, but he just gets back to the line of scrimmage. Darnold has to dump the ball under pressure on the next play.
But Darnold finds Walker near the sideline, and Walker manages to extend his arms and get the ball past the down marker.

EXTRA POINT! Rams 27-31 Seahawks, 2:06, third quarter
Hey, extra points aren’t routine! They deserve their own commentary item sometimes.
Anyway, Nacua’s catch was confirmed by video replay.
Woolen must be wishing he could disappear from view at this point. He dropped an easy interception, blatantly taunted the Rams sideline to give up a drive-extending penalty, and was beaten on the very next play for a touchdown.
Teams often unite when a player blunders, but it looks like Woolen is the subject of some considerable anger on the sideline.
And now both QBs have immediately punished a big mistake with a TD pass.

TOUCHDOWN!! Rams 26-31 Seahawks, 2:13, third quarter
Maybe Seattle should’ve pulled Woolen from the game for a bit and let him have a mental reset. Instead, he was out there trying to cover Nacua. Bad idea. The Rams star pulls in the catch at the pylon.
We’re waiting for video review, but it’ll stand. The score will likely move to 27-31 after that unless the Rams are feeling feisty and go for two.

Rams 20-31 Seahawks, 2:20, third quarter
The Rams again hand to Williams, and it’s a bit too predictable.
On third and 12, Stafford looks to Nacua, but it’s nearly intercepted by Woolen. How did he not catch that?
So it’s fourth down … but now we have a very late flag.
Unsportsmanlike conduct (taunting) on Woolen. He just handed Los Angeles a first down.

Rams 20-31 Seahawks, 3:05, third quarter
Williams fights for five yards.
A couple of Rams players are headed off the field for treatment.
Williams makes the catch and is immediately hauled down, but flags already flew in the Rams backfield. The call is illegal hands to the face. Not sure what hands to the face would be legal.

Rams 20-31 Seahawks, 4:00, third quarter
Never mind – Adams simply skips away from the defense to haul in a 35-yard pass.
The next play is a 5-yard penalty on Seattle and an automatic first down.

Rams 20-31 Seahawks, 4:45, third quarter
NOW we have a flag on the Rams. Illegal block on the return. They’ll start from the 13.

Odd stat of the day: The Rams have no penalties in this game. Seattle has three for 25 yards.

TOUCHDOWN!! Rams 20-31 Seahawks, 4:52, third quarter
Kupp finds a soft spot in the L.A. zone, Darnold delivers it on the money, and Kupp turns and plows into the end zone before the Rams can stop him. That’s 13 more yards for Darnold and Kupp; seven more points for Seattle. (Well, six – then Myers adds the extra point.)

Rams 20-24 Seahawks, 4:59, third quarter
Tight end Barner makes a good catch to pick up seven. Then a strange play – Darnold immediately throws to the flat for Bobo, and the pass is off target. Bad throw, but it’s a dubious play call.

Rams 20-24 Seahawks, 6:17, third quarter
That looks like the Walker we saw in the first quarter. He picks up five easy yards and six difficult yards for another first down.
Darnold spots Holani over the middle. Nine more yards.
Seattle lines up JSN for a screen, Kupp throws a key block, and JSN zips his way to a 12-yard gain.
ESPN’s win probability for this game looks like an EKG.

Rams 20-24 Seahawks, 7:49, third quarter
Stafford is now 11-for-18 with 196 yards after a rough start.
Holani picks up three yards on first down. Walker loses two on second down. The Rams are winning at the line.
But Darnold finds the former Ram, Cooper Kupp, just short of the down marker. He snags the ball before it hits the turf and easily gets another couple of yards to move the chains.
