What you need to know
- Samsung is finally announcing its next mid-range: the Galaxy A07 5G with a 6.7-inch display (120Hz refresh rate) and a massive 6,000mAh battery.
- The device sports several next-gen AI capabilities, such as Gemini Live, Galaxy AI, and Circle to Search.
- The company revealed that the device was made available in “select” regions on January 30, but it’s only now revealing the device in full, with pricing somewhere around $100 or higher.
Samsung’s mid-range A-series is getting a new addition late this week, as an announcement brings all the details.
In a Newsroom post, Samsung unveiled its newest Galaxy A07 5G model. This phone is positioned as a device that can help users with “everyday tasks” through “practical” AI features. Details state the Galaxy A07 5G features a 6.7-inch edge-to-edge display with a max 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung highlights the addition of a “High Brightness” mode, which pushes the device to 800nits, while also automatically adjusting its brightness levels to your lighting conditions.
Consumers will also notice that the A07 sports that old, Infinity-U camera notch. This brings us to the next aspect: cameras. The Galaxy A07 rocks a vertical dual camera array with a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth lens. The selfie camera in that Infinity-U notch is 8MP.

Among the many Samsung-branded One UI 7 features, the post specifically homes in on its AI. Users can conveniently access Gemini through the device’s side button, similar to the flagship Galaxy S series phones. Samsung says this is designed to make it easy for consumers to navigate “complex tasks across native Galaxy and select third-party apps to support faster, more intuitive interactions.”
Additionally, you’ll find Gemini Live and Circle to Search on this mid-range model.

What’s carrying users through their days, other than these AI features, is the Galaxy A07’s 6,000mAh battery. Samsung touts this as a 120% battery capacity increase over past-generations, and it’s not wrong. Also, funnily enough, this mid-range’s battery is bigger than the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s. The company confirmed that it will offer six generations of OS upgrades, alongside six-years of security updates for this phone.
Samsung Knox security and more are included for this model.
Curiously, the Galaxy A07 was made available in “select” regions on January 30. It’s only now that Samsung is officially announcing the device’s existence. It’s unclear why it did things backward. Nevertheless, it’s finally here in black, light violet, and light green color options. Samsung didn’t state its pricing, oddly enough; however, 9to5Google states it’s been going from $100 to $150 depending on the place of purchase.
Android Central’s Take
We should know that I’m not going to be quiet about the Galaxy A07 having a larger battery than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. I’m not crying, you’re crying. Now that I’m out of my feelings, a bigger battery’s always a good thing. It means more scrolling, gaming, photos, videos—all of it. But what I’m looking at is Samsung’s inclusion of some rather recent AI features on the Galaxy A07 5G. It makes the device feel more current when mid-ranges can, at times, feel a little lackluster beneath the flagship models. At least, here, you’re saving some money, while still rocking some of the newest tech.
