Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, with the latest iteration advancing the design from standard audio buds toward an ever-present AI hardware companion.
Arriving alongside the open-fit Galaxy Buds 4, the Pro model is designed to be one of the primary interfaces for Samsung’s burgeoning Galaxy AI ecosystem. For this generation, the brand is touting a redesign that prioritizes all-day wearability and a new range of hands-free gestures.
And with deep support for Google Gemini (as well as its own Bixby), Samsung is positioning the Buds 4 Pro as a standalone portal for ambient computing and a rival to Apple’s AirPods Pro 3.
Given the nod
The introduction of ‘Head Gestures’ is the headline software addition, allowing users to nod to accept calls or confirm Bixby prompts and shake their head to decline alerts or silence notifications.
This is paired with an upgraded ‘Interpreter’ mode that supports real-time translation into over 22 languages directly in the ear—a feature that continues the earbuds’ progression toward the de facto AI hardware companion to the phone.
While they lack the heart-rate monitoring of the current AirPods Pro 3, Samsung has doubled down on audio-led intelligence here.

The new ‘Super Clear Call’ feature uses super-wideband technology to double the bandwidth of conventional Bluetooth calls, while Enhanced Intelligence ANC and Adaptive EQ analyze the unique shape of the user’s ear in real time to balance immersion with environmental safety.
Blade design and wider woofers
The hardware itself has also undergone a significant ‘Blade’ redesign, moving to a flatter, more secure-fitting stem based on over 10,000 anatomical simulations.
The Pro model features a premium brushed-metal finish with an engraved pinch control area, making it easier to locate the sensors for manual adjustments. Under the hood, the Buds 4 Pro houses a new two-way speaker system with a wider woofer—increasing the effective speaker area by nearly 20% compared to the previous generation—to deliver natural, 24-bit/96kHz Hi-Fi audio.
The charging case has also been given a facelift, featuring a translucent lid and a dedicated button that can trigger a Find My Phone chime. It even simplifies the ecosystem experience by allowing users to connect to Galaxy phones or tablets simply by opening the lid, bypassing the need to install the Galaxy Wearable app.
While these buds are built to flourish alongside the growing Galaxy ecosystem—which is rumored to soon include Galaxy Glasses—they remain a versatile choice for any user looking for a high-end AI “eyes and ears” experience.
