Leaks and rumors related to Sony’s upcoming WF-1000XM6 earbuds are in full swing. Around mid-January, when the company teased a launch, many hoped it would be for the WF-1000XM6. Sadly, that wasn’t the case, as last week, Sony officially unveiled the LinkBuds Clip. For those unaware, these are clip-style earbuds that hook onto your ears instead of blocking your ear canals. Well, in case you’ve been waiting for the Sony WF-1000XM6, you’d be happy to know that it might also come in a third, new color.
The third color for Sony’s upcoming WF-1000XM6 earbuds is called “Sandpink”
Folks over at Android Authority spotted a post on Bluesky by Roland Quandt, in which the tipster talked about the third color of the Sony WF-1000XM6 earbuds. Per Quandt, Sony will also launch the upcoming earbuds in a color called “Sandpink.”
If you have been using the previous-gen models like the WF-1000XM4 or WF-1000XM5, you must be aware that both earbuds come in just two colors: Black and Silver. All this while, it seemed like Sony would go with the same color options for the upcoming TWS earbuds. But, that’s apparently going to change.
Now, given the leak, it seems that the third color of the Sony WF-1000XM6 earbuds could also be available at launch. Well, we hope it does. Not to forget, the WF-1000XM5 later got an additional color, which Sony calls “Smoky Pink.” So, it’ll be interesting to see how different the colors are.
Rumors about launch and pricing
Based on previous leaks, Sony is likely to officially launch the WF-1000XM6 earbuds on February 12. That’s also when Sony could kick off preorders for these earbuds. Meanwhile, the earbuds might be up for regular sale on February 23. The earbuds will likely cost $329, a $30 price bump compared to the launch price of the WF-1000XM5 earbuds. Now that the third color is also making its way, audio enthusiasts will have an additional option to choose from than the regular ones.
