Tandem Diabetes Care, a global insulin delivery and diabetes technology firm, announced that its Tandem Mobi is now compatible with Android smartphones in the US via the Tandem Mobi mobile app. The company notes that by expanding to Android, it’s broadening its reach to bring the benefits of Tandem Mobi to more people living with diabetes.

Android users can fine-tune their diabetes management by creating a customized experience with up to six profiles. The Tandem Mobi mobile app offers an easy-to-use design and seamlessly pairs with the Tandem Mobi device. This unlocks the freedom for users to manage their diabetes directly from their Android smartphones.
The secure connectivity to the Tandem Source platform will help for better engagement between patients and their healthcare providers. This will eventually lead to more informed treatment decisions, says the company.

The US Food and Drug Administration cleared the Android version of the Tandem Mobi mobile app in November 2025. There was a limited release in December 2025. The Tandem Mobi app is now available to download from the Google Play Store. Compatible phones include Google Pixel 6 through Pixel 10 and Samsung Galaxy S21 through Galaxy S25.
The Tandem Mobi insulin pump is so small that users can wear it on their body with an adhesive sleeve (sold separately), clip it discreetly to their clothing, or slip it into their pants’ coin pocket. Control-IQ+ technology predictive algorithm powers Tandem Mobi, which launched with compatible iPhone models in 2024.
