At CES 2026, TCL is launching its new X11 series of TVs with SQD-Mini LED display tech that offers more accurate color and up to 20,000 dimming zones.
TCL X11 comes in 75-inch, 85-inch, and 98-inch size options starting at $6,999, and it touts some wild specs. TCL says that each TV has 20,000 “Discrete Dimming Zones” which is a number never before offered at these sizes, while also hitting a whopping 10,000 nits of peak brightness during HDR. Dolby Vision 2.0 Max support is coming in a later update, too.
The set itself measures just 0.8-inches thick.
TCL says:
In 2026, starting with the X11L, TCL will set a new standard for premium television and lead the industry once again with its new “SQD-Mini LED” display technology. SQD-Mini LED offers more consistently accurate 100% of BT2020 color* but also reinvests in the product to give consumers more, adding more discrete dimming zones to achieve all-new levels of peak brightness, and deep black levels.
This is also one of the first new TVs that will support Gemini’s ability to control your TV settings, meaning you can use voice controls to adjust settings such as brightness without digging into settings using the remote.
TCL also says that it will get an Xbox Game Pass app soon, a first for Google TV.
Pre-orders are open now through TCL’s website.
