Lenovo is showing off many new laptops at CES 2026, including the Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition aimed at creative work. Besides the usual high-end hardware, the laptop has something you don’t see every day: a Wacom drawing tablet hiding in the touchpad.
The new Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition (16″, 11) is a high-end productivity laptop, intended to compete with the MacBook Pro, Dell XPS 16, and some of Lenovo’s own ThinkPad machines. It will have “up to” an Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 386H, GeForce RTX 5070 graphics, 64GB of LPDDR5X memory, and 2TB of NVMe SSD storage.
The unique feature here is the touchpad, which has an integrated Wacom drawing tablet. It only measures 150 x 95 millimeters (5.91 x 3.74 inches), so it won’t replace a full-size tablet for most design work, but it’s enough for some sketching and text annotation. A Yoga Pen Gen 2 is included in the box, and touch input is automatically shut off when the stylus is in use to prevent unintentional mouse actions.
There are many 2-in-1 laptops with touch screens that have stylus support, but this might be the first time the drawing pad is in the touchpad. The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo was somewhat close—it had a large secondary screen above the keyboard that supported stylus input.
For the display, the Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition will have a 16-inch screen that varies by model. The highest-end configuration will be a 3.2K (3200 x 2000) OLED panel, with Dolby Vision support, a 120Hz variable refresh rate (VRR), 16:10 aspect ratio, and touch support.
Lenovo said in its announcement, “The PureSight Pro Tandem OLED display supports 100% Adobe RGB, P3, and sRGB color spaces and reaches up to 1600 nits peak brightness, delivering true-to-life VESA HDR True Black 1000 contrast and color reproduction across creative apps and immersive content. A six-speaker Dolby Atmos system provides rich, detailed audio whether users are editing video, mixing audio, or enjoying their favorite entertainment.”
You also get plenty of connectivity options, including two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a headphone/microphone combo jack, two USB 3.2 Type-A 10Gbps ports, and an SD card reader. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 are available for wireless connectivity.
The Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition will start at $1,900, in a single ‘Thunder Grey’ color option, with expected availability in the second quarter of 2026. Keep an eye on Lenovo’s online store and other retailers to buy it.
