Today Xiaomi officially launched its flagship 17 Series for the global market. Debuting just before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, the lineup consists of two primary models: the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
Hardware and Performance
Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Built on a 3nm process, this chipset focuses on high-efficiency performance and integrated AI capabilities. The series runs on HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, which aims to improve ecosystem connectivity and animation fluidity.
The standard Xiaomi 17 features a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Notably, it houses a 6,330mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The Ultra variant scales further in memory and storage, offering up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal capacity.
Imaging and Design
Continuing the brand’s partnership with Leica, both models utilize Leica-branded triple rear camera systems designed for enhanced color accuracy and low-light performance.
The devices are available in several colorways:
