Xiaomi has released the Mijia Washing Machine Pro 12 kg, a new smart washer-dryer with a large capacity for home use and increased washing effectiveness. With its 12 kg washing and 9 kg drying capacity, this appliance is ideal for large families or users who do laundry frequently. The product, which combines performance, hygiene, and smart features, is a major advancement in Xiaomi’s home appliance lineup.
When compared to many traditional washing machines, the Mijia Washing Machine Pro’s reported washing ratio of 1.3 indicates higher cleaning efficiency. This is one of its main features. The super electrolysis technology from Xiaomi, which produces active cleaning agents during the wash cycle, supports this performance; by preserving fabric colors and improving stain removal, these agents are meant to lessen fading over time.
Hygiene is another priority for the washer—Xiaomi claims that the machine targets allergens and bacteria that might be present in clothing, achieving a sterilization rate of up to 99.999% and eliminating 100% of mites. These features are marketed as being especially helpful for families with kids or people who have sensitive skin.
In terms of automation, the appliance includes a dual-channel intelligent dispensing system; this system detects the weight of the laundry load and automatically releases the appropriate amount of detergent and fabric softener. This method, according to Xiaomi, reduces the amount of chemical residue on clothes and, with typical use, extends the life of a full detergent reservoir by about a month. Low-temperature drying and a 12-minute quick wash are two more wash programs that are intended to save time and energy.
The Mijia Washing Machine Pro integrates with Xiaomi’s HyperOS ecosystem, allowing users to monitor and control the appliance remotely through compatible apps and voice-enabled Xiaomi smart speakers. Currently, the product is available for pre-order in China, with a listed price of approximately US$495 and a subsidized price of around US$420. We still have no official info on whether the product will arrive in other markets, like the U.S.
