Archita Sahu was born on 29 June 1990 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Raised in the city she still calls home, Archita showed an early interest in the performing arts and began learning Odissi dance at the age of six. Her classical training culminated in a Visharad (Masters) in Odissi and she also received a national scholarship for her dance. Academically, she completed a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology and attended the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar. She studied at Demonstration Multipurpose School during her school years.

Career

Archita entered the public eye through pageants and modelling competitions, winning the title of Miss Kalinga in 2004 and a state modelling title while in tenth standard. That exposure led to her acting debut in 2005, when she played Puja in the Odia film O My Love and won a Best Newcomer award for the role.
