Early life and backgroundPalak Muchhal was born on 30 March 1992 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She grew up in a Marwari family and attended Queens College in Indore, completing a Bachelor's degree in Commerce in 2013. From a very young age she displayed a strong interest in singing; she has said she began performing around the age of two-and-a-half and made an early public appearance at a family sangeet.
Palak’s family includes her parents, Rajkumar Muchhal and Amita Muchhal, and a younger brother, Palash Muchhal, who is also a musician. The siblings have worked together on charitable concert initiatives throughout their lives.

Palak Muchhal’s public singing journey began in childhood. At age four she appeared on the reality show Little Star, which introduced her to live performance and gave her opportunities to travel.
