Tarsem Singh Jassar was born on 4 July 1986 in Village Jassar (Ludhiana), Amloh, in the Fatehgarh Sahib district of Punjab, India. Raised in a Sikh family, he completed undergraduate studies with a B.Sc and later pursued postgraduate education, although he did not complete an M.Sc. He also holds a PGDCA. During his college years at Mata Gujri College in Fatehgarh Sahib, Tarsem was active in campus life and served as the president of the student union party.
