Blood of Hercules by Jasmine Mas
The ultimate Greek story
Credit: Canary Street Press
The first thing that I need to put on this list is Blood of Hercules by Jasmine Mas.
Blood of Hercules follows a young woman named Alexis Hert, who learns she’s a descendant of the Greek gods Hades and Persephone. In order to win immortality, she is forced into a war academy where she must survive deadly trials and, of course, come into contact with dangerous romantic rivals that just might end her life.
This is the epitome of a “why choose” book, because you’re going to love every single pairing that Alexis might end up with. And it’s worth every single second. But to be honest, if you’re into Greek mythology, it’s also a fun book to read.
I feel that we’re sort of having this renaissance in fantasy and mythology lately, that there are so many different books like this coming out. There are many fantasy and mythology shows in development, like HBO’s Harry Potter or the new Percy Jackson series. Why not check out a new series that is bound to become a major hit over the next couple of years?
Ask For Andrea by Noelle W. Ihli
A gripping thriller from beginning to end

If you are looking for an excellent thriller, Ask for Andrea by Noelle W. Ihli is a great choice.
The book follows three women who all have one thing in common: they were murdered by the same man, whom they all met through a dating app. They unite in the afterlife and together attempt to bring their killer to justice. It’s just as awesome as you think it is.

I mean, it sounds just as cool as you might imagine it to be. And yes, you are going to love every single woman as they hunt to take down this serial killer. This is the epitome of ‘girl power.’
Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh
A sports romance for the ages
If you’re looking for a sports romance, then Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh is a GREAT pick for you. The first book in the Boys of Tommen series, Binding 13, mainly follows Johnny Kavangh, a rugby star, and his slow-burning relationship with Shannon Lynch at Tommen College (which is actually a high school since it takes place in Ireland).
I can’t tell you how many people love these books. They’ve been huge successes over the last several years, and if a romance is what you need, then this will surely fill that.

‘Till Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn
An absolutely lovely rom-com
Credit: Bloom Books
If you’re like me and you love reading or writing about rom-coms, then ‘Till Summer Do Us Part is a great one to check out. You’ll be laughing your butt off, and you’ll most likely become obsessed with Quinn’s writing style by the end of the book.
The novel mainly follows Scottie Price, a woman who lies to her co-workers about having a husband, but ends up committing to a summer camp her company holds every year to strengthen bonds between their partners. Now, in order to keep up the lie, she enlists the help of her best friend’s brother to pretend to be her husband—and of course, sparks fly.
Look, there are so many fun rom-coms out there, but I would be lying if I said that Quinn’s writing style hasn’t made me snicker like I’m watching the funniest comedies on HBO Max. And she’s also made me blush like a sinner in church, if that’s your style. Either way, this fun rom-com is one that will have you laughing, smiling, and loving all at the same time.
The Wife Before by Shanora Williams
A mystery that makes you question everything
Credit: Kensington Books
Lastly, let’s talk about The Wife Before, by Shanora Williams. Now, it’s a mystery of all mysteries, and you will be questioning who to trust by the end of it.
Written by Shanora Williams, The Wife Before follows the story of a woman who marries a pro golfer after a crazy romance, only to find journals from his first wife (who also died) that suggest her new hubby might not be the man she thought he was.
It’s intense, thrilling, and will grip you from the moment you turn the first page. If you love Freida McFadden books, this is the novel for you.
Now it just makes me want to dive into my e-reader and start reading. Hopefully, these are great picks that will get you excited to start reading.
