Gauri Kulkarni was born on 3 April 2001 in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. She grew up in Ahmednagar and completed her schooling at Bhausaheb Firodiya High School in Maliwada. After school she attended Pemraj Sarda College in Ahmednagar and holds a bachelor’s degree. Her parents are Suhas Ramchandra Kulkarni, who is a businessman, and Shilpa Suhas Kulkarni, an entrepreneur.

Gauri trained in Kathak during her school years, an early discipline that has informed her stage presence and performance work. She is an animal lover and keeps a Labrador Retriever named Murphy.

Career

Gauri Kulkarni began acting as a child and made her Marathi film debut in Nirop (2007) in the role of Tara. Across the following decade she appeared in a number of Marathi films, including Riwayat (2012), Riyasat (2014) and Ranjan (2017). Her performance work in childhood earned recognition when she won the Best Child Actress award at the 8th Chitra Padarpan Puraskar for Ranjan in 2017.
