Early life and background

Kamna Pathak was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and celebrates her birthday on 3 June. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Hindi (Honours) and attended Miranda House in Delhi. Her family includes her father Shiv Shankar and her mother Rajee Pathak; she also has two sisters. Kamna is Indian by nationality and follows Hinduism.

Career

Kamna began her performing career in theatre, appearing in a number of plays that helped establish her stage credentials. Among the productions she performed in were Chanakya, Aakhiri Shama, Moteram ka Satyagrah, Kabuliwala and The Beast in Beauty. She received formal acting training at Barry John Acting Studio before moving into film and television.

Her screen debut came in 2016 with the English-language film Mango Dreams, in which she played the role of an impatient passenger. The following year she participated in television as a mentor on the reality show Sabse Bada Kalakar, where she worked with the child contestant Virad Tyagi, who went on to win the competition. In 2019 Kamna joined the cast of the &TV comedy Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, portraying Rajesh, the wife of the character Happu Singh.
