Leaked images of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max have surfaced, giving us a glimpse of the phone’s full design. While the iPhone 16 series is anticipated to launch later this year, leaks and rumors have been swirling around its features.
The latest leak, shared by tech insider Daniel, compares images of the iPhone 16 Pro Max with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The comparison reveals that the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to sport a slightly larger 6.9-inch display, a 0.2mm increase from its predecessor.
Although the images only showcase a minor difference in screen size, details such as the actual screen resolution and other specifications remain unconfirmed. However, the leaked images suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro Max may retain the titanium body of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Despite rumors of a different camera placement, the leaked images show a similar camera layout to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Apple is expected to introduce new A-series chips built on the latest N3E 3-nanometer node for the iPhone 16 lineup, with the higher-end chip possibly exclusive to the Pro models.
Other anticipated features include the Action button, previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro models, now expected to be available across all iPhone 16 models. Additionally, a new “Capture Button” is rumored to be added, functioning similarly to a digital camera’s shutter button.
The tech giant is also reportedly planning a new vertical camera lens arrangement for the iPhone 16 series, possibly enabling standard iPhone 16 models to capture Spatial Video for the Vision Pro headset.
Rumors suggest that the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro Max might feature a 48MP ultra-wide camera, an upgrade from the 12MP ultra-wide camera in the iPhone 15 Pro model. Furthermore, Apple is said to be working on a new thermal design, potentially incorporating a graphene thermal system and a metal battery casing in the iPhone 16 Pro models, to address overheating issues that plagued the iPhone 15 models.
